PRPC Mission partners

The Mission Team maintains relationships with PRPC Mission Partners and oversees an annual budget that is distributed to multiple agencies that address a variety of needs in the local and global community.

Some long-standing Mission Partners include:

Lincoln Park Community Shelter

Maine Township Food Pantry

Irving Park Community Food Pantry

New Hope Community Food Pantry

Sunday Night Suppers (SNS) is a community hunger program hosted at Park Ridge Presbyterian Church in partnership with St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
Meals are served on Sunday nights from 4pm-5pm.

As the hosts of SNS, we have volunteers from our church on site each week to work as the Host Team to oversee the volunteers from the Sponsor Groups that have come to serve a hot meal to the guests. You can use THIS LINK to sign up for the Host Team or contact Volunteer Coordinator, Dorothy Broughton, to sign up to be on the Host Team for a night djbroughton44@yahoo.com.

JOIN THE WHOLE FOODS TEAM

The Whole Foods Team sorts and packages donated food items to make grocery bags for the Sunday Night Supper guests each week. The food comes from Whole Foods in Park Ridge and a few food rescue partners who help food stay out of landfills and make it to people who could need it. Anyone can sign up to volunteer with the Whole Foods Team using this Sign-Up Link

Volunteers should arrive at 3:00pm. It should take about one hour, depending on the number of items we need to organize (there are different things each week) and the number of people helping.  If you would like to stay to hand out the bags of food at the end of the meal, you can.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for families, especially tweens and teens.  Adults are also needed to help supervise.

A team leader from Sunday Night Suppers will also be there to guide you with what to do.
