The Presbyterian Church (USA) has historic roots in the Church of Scotland. On Sunday, June 23, 2019, PRPC celebrated our historic Scottish roots with a “Scottish Heritage Sunday.” This special service featured many wonderful elements but was highlighted by the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan. PRPC enjoyed a day where we celebrated our history but also focused on creating our future.
We were joined by the Chicago Scots for this special service. Gus Noble, president of the Chicago Scots, offered some remarks as part of the service. Dave Johnston, Glasgow trained bagpiper, provided special music for the day.
